What Claude Motion Brings to Your Team
Reuse material you already own — decks, dashboards, product steps — and let Claude Motion reframe it as a compact animation you can play, export or hand off.
- Rendered from Code, Not Filmed FootageEach clip is an artifact produced by the Motion template — the code that animates the words, charts, shapes and images inside it.
- Edit a Single Detail, Leave the Rest AloneBecause the clip is code, adjusting a figure, a phrase or a beat leaves the rest of the animation exactly as it was.
- Saves Straight into Your Artifacts TabFinished clips are filed in the Artifacts tab on their own, sitting alongside everything else you have built in Claude.
Making a Clip with Claude Motion in 3 Steps
Three quick steps take you from a written idea to a finished, shareable animation.
What Claude Motion Can Do for You
Everything from picking a template to exporting MP4 is handled inside Claude Motion, aimed at the explainers, charts and walkthroughs teams make most.
Start from a Ready-Made Template
Open the Artifacts tab, pick a Motion template, then describe the clip you have in mind.
Tell It the Audience, Context and Length
Naming who will watch, where it plays and how long it should run helps Claude Motion tighten the result.
Bring Your Own Files and Figures
Add a deck, a dataset or a screenshot so the animation is built from your real source material.
Made for Short-Form Business Clips
Company updates, revenue visuals for leadership and step-by-step onboarding clips are where it shines.
Save the Result as MP4
When the animation is ready, use the Export option in Claude Motion to download it as an MP4 file.
Private Until You Decide to Share
Fresh animations are visible only to you; you choose when to share, and admins decide if sharing can leave the org.
Questions People Ask About Claude Motion
Quick answers on plans, privacy, exports and usage limits for Claude Motion.
Which plans come with Claude Motion, and is it switched on automatically?
It ships in beta for Team and Enterprise plans. Team has it on by default, while Enterprise keeps it off until an owner turns it on.
How can an owner turn Claude Motion on or limit who uses it?
Admins control availability under the Artifacts section of Organization settings. Enterprise owners can go further and scope access to selected groups through custom roles.
Will Claude Motion produce lifelike people or real footage?
No — it animates text, charts, shapes and images as code, so no live-action video or human footage is ever generated.
Where do finished animations go once they are made?
Each one is saved in the Artifacts tab, which is also where you can kick off a new clip from the Motion template.
How can I download or share the finished clip?
Use Export and then MP4 to save the file. A new animation stays private to you until you open it and hit Share.
Do animations count against my plan's usage limits?
Yes. They draw on the same plan limits as the rest of your Claude work, and complex clips use up more than a normal message.
Put Claude Motion to Work on Your Next Clip
Head to a chat or the Artifacts tab, pick the Motion template and describe the explainer, chart or walkthrough you want to see. On Enterprise, an owner may need to switch it on first.
